Here is a reel, so you can see what sort of thing we get up to:
A friend posted an image on my Facebook wall that reminded me of the cartoon misheard lyrics I used to view on rathergood many years ago so I thought I’d post the cartoon with soundtrack to his own wall – hoping rathergood was still online.
I easily found the site again but trying to find the particular parodies I was looking for proved impossible. Good ol’ Google came to the rescue.

Why is it so difficult to search and find these items? Even using the rathergood search button returns no results! I realise there must be thousands of uploads but a ‘Misheard Lyric’ category would be useful
Don’t forget about Coke in Argentina or wherever it was, ripped off ‘Ninja’ and lets face it your animation too! If they didn’t pay you, you can at least be credited with basically giving them their content!
I tried to boycott coke but then they put vanilla in their cans and that stuff is basically like crack to me… have you got any? I’ll pay you for it next week, yeah?
Whenever I need to piss my pants, I always come to http://www.rathergood.com, thanks Joel
Where’s the junglist morris dancers gone? Love them
Sky high six thousand miles away
Aww… where did the Happy Birthday Beatles Cover go? Copy right I suppose. Another one was.
I can’t remember the title but I remember watching a video you did of the Russian Cats marching and the lead one was singing “to eat an apple lolly” part, what was it called again?
Ellie it was Labach Tanz Mit with the Cats in the uniform
I miss the buffy swears keyboard….. Sniffle….
[…] someone posted on Facebook The Axolotl Song (earworm warning), by a music/video/comedy group called Rathergood, which consists of Joel Veitch and unnamed others. They quickly rhyme axolotl with bottle and lotl, […]
Oh baby, I’m thinking about your axe wound…. loved that song by the naughty hedgehogs!
Same! Hilarious
What’s happened to “ kick you “ –
After all these years, rathergood.com still hits my funny bone… GACK !
[…] The resulting “bandimation” that is displayed throughout their set can only be described as a rathergood.com ode to Super Meat Boy, and to meat, and to other banal topics given colour. The duo’s music is as […]
I was about 13 when I first saw this video in the early 2000’s:

This website was part of my teenage years, can’t believe how long it’s been and how sites like this, b3ta, 4rthur formed my twisted sense of hummus.
I miss the cheeky ‘smash the crab’ game. In a fit of nostalgia I tried to find it for my child and it was no longer playable, now I can’t even find evidence of it existing (probably removed, if it’s no longer playable) but it was so much mindless fun!
I come from the year 2000. I wrote to you back in 2000 (maybe 2001) when you had to take down Viking Kitties due to copyright issues. Here I am 20 years later and I still think you are amazing Joel. Thank you for the work you do. It may be considered silly to some, but it’s historically significant and absolute art to others. Thank you.
Any chance the punk kittens and the other early animations can be revived? It doesn’t seem to work on my browser here in the 2020’s (maybe flash issues?). In any case, I’m glad Rathergood is still here–love your stuff!
From Jamie and his Magic Todger , through Northern Kittens and well past your ska period i have have been a massive fan. Thank you Joel for your art and indelible influence on my psyche. In this household, We Like The Moon.
Man… I was hoping you guys still had merch. A friend posted a link to a sponge monkey plush and I remembered my immigrant cat shirt that I lost in Hurricane Katrina. I was hoping to come and get another lol
I attended the grand opening of Iggy Pop’s Ocelot Shop. It was rather good.
